XEBRITE® Premium CCFL rings utilizes the same technology of high intensity discharged lamps (HID) where vacuum sealed inert gases are exposed to a high voltage source that runs across the entire chamber. As a result, the gases are ionized and excites an inner coating of phosphor creating an arc of visible light. The tradeoff of using CCFL rings over the traditional LED rings create many benefits including a brilliant white light which is luminous during the day, high efficiency (power in vs. power out ratio), long life (> 25K hours), brightness variability, light weight, etc.
